Since the last update, we have been busy finalising the design to enable commencement of Phase 1 of the Lidcombe Masterplan, namely the renovation and expansion of the existing Lidcombe Club.
We are disappointed to announce that the new premises project that the Club has been working on with Ecove in the Sydney Olympic Park precinct, is not going ahead.
Good progress towards the delivery of the DOOLEYS Lidcombe Club expansion and renovation works was made during 2022, culminating in the completion of the technical design and an initial tender process for the procurement of the works.
The demolition of the Club’s John St shops and the former Three Lanterns Bar at our Lidcombe site was completed in October 2022 ahead of schedule, with minimal disruption to Members and the local community.

An exciting period of transformation is taking place at DOOLEYS Lidcombe as the delivery of a multi-million-dollar new Club expansion and refurbishment commences.
On site works will commence in May 2022 to prepare for the demolition of the Club’s retail properties along John Street, clearing the way for the construction.
