Hello Members,

I am pleased to announce the much-anticipated development works at our Lidcombe property has finally begun. We are grateful for our members’ support and loyalty during the extended development planning stages and are excited to embark on this new chapter. The project timeline is critical to ensure members experience a smooth transition and disruption is minimized during the 24-month construction period. The opening and closure sequencing of destinations is near complete, and we are now able to share indicative timelines of activity as the development gets underway. The first noticeable change members will witness is the temporary relocation of our John St reception on the ground floor. Members will notice a new temporary reception into the Lidcombe property off John St from late June. Member comfort and accessibility is essential, and we have ensured this new entrance accommodates member needs. Construction of the new club extension on the vacant land on the corner of Board and John St will also commence this winter along with the refurbishment of the ground floor bathrooms off Baileys Sports Bar.

We are confident the newly appointed builders, Buildcorp, will deliver outstanding quality on our impressive scope of work. Buildcorp have delivered $7.5 billion in projects and are recognised for their quality outcomes, receiving over one hundred Master Builders Association awards over the last thirty years. It is important DOOLEYS members get to know the Buildcorp development team as they transform our club over the next two years.

To learn more about who our appointed Builders are, please also read on in the following Development pages. As the building gets underway, we understand members will continue to want value for money and a memorable experience from visiting our venues. To ensure members continue to receive a rewarding experience we are improving our offerings, promotions, and rewards program to not only meet but exceed member expectations. With this in mind, we are reviewing our loyalty program to ensure greater rewards, more personalized benefits, and a greater member experience is had by our valued members. Member feedback and input are essential to this process, and we welcome any suggestions you may have by contacting our team anytime at reception, via the website or email at enquiries@dooleys.com.

As the redevelopment of our Lidcombe property continues to be our immediate focus, we have not forgotten our ongoing commitment to our local community. The team at DOOLEYS was recently acknowledged as finalists at this year’s annual Clubs and Community Awards in four award categories in partnership with St Vincent de Paul, Westmead Institute for Medical Research and our social inclusion and disability partners, Blues Wheelchair Basketball, MS Australia, and Forward Ability. I would also like to thank those members who joined us at our recent Australia’s Biggest Morning tea event at Regent St Pavilion raising much needed funds for the Cancer Council. Thank you for your continued loyalty and support and please continue to check our website for updates on our development program.

Yours Sincerely,

David Mantle
