As we continue the Lidcombe redevelopment, keeping members informed about the progress we have made and what you can look forward to between now and in coming months is of top priority.
This year will mark the biggest and most exciting chapter of our redevelopment journey so far. With a host of stunning new destinations opening, there has never been a better time to be part of DOOLEYS.
Our vision for the Lidcombe transformation has remained unchanged as we put the member experience first. Creating a refreshed, welcoming, and vibrant environment that honours our proud heritage but also sets a new benchmark for the industry has been at the forefront of every decision.
The new spaces will elevate your experience at Lidcombe, and will offer you more ways to connect, celebrate and enjoy everything you love about DOOLEYS.
A New Era of Welcoming Spaces
One of our primary goals is to ensure every visit to the club feels special from the moment you arrive. The transformation of our brand-new John Street Reception is entering its final stages and is set to become a signature entry point for all members and guests. Members will notice the installation of premium materials such as stone, brass, and timber accents, as well as the unveiling of a stunning feature staircase that connects the ground and first floor. Enhanced lighting and signage will make your arrival even more intuitive and inviting, setting the tone for your entire visit. We anticipate the new reception will be ready to welcome members and guests by July, establishing a new standard for first impressions at the club.
Temporary Reception at Church Street
In the coming weeks, temporary works will be carried out at the Church Street reception to relocate the existing reception desk. This relocation is necessary to enable access to entertainment facilities and to progress building works in this area. We appreciate your patience during this period.
Shortly after the launch of the new John St Reception, the existing Church St Reception will close for refurbishment around July. A temporary reception will be established for Church St with entry from the main car park directly into the club. Whilst temporary, we will make every endeavour to ensure the journey into the club remains smooth, accessible and welcoming just as we have with all temporary spaces. We appreciate your understanding as we make these important upgrades and are committed to making your arrival as seamless as possible during this transition period.
Infinity Room
We are excited to announce the new Infinity Room is nearing completion and imminent in opening. Over recent months we have been completing the room’s unique design elements and conducting thorough testing to ensure a seamless, premium experience. The Infinity Room will become the very first fully refurbished destination within the Lidcombe redevelopment program, offering members a sophisticated and comfortable indoor and brand-new outdoor environment to enjoy.
Closure of Jade Room
As the Infinity Room on level 1 launches, we will be handing over further sections of ground floor facilities to the builders in April. This closure is a necessary step in our journey to upgrade and modernise facilities. Our team is available to assist with any questions about this transition and to help you discover the new spaces on level 1 whilst works progress on the ground floor.
A New Era of Food & Beverage
As part of the redevelopment, we are redefining our dining experience, transforming Lidcombe into a vibrant culinary destination. The first phase of this new offering will be revealed as part of a major milestone at the end of this year and include the launch of a brand-new food, beverage and entertainment precinct as part of the new build extension. This will include a brand-new café, sports lounge, entertainment lounge and buffet. Our diverse destinations will celebrate global flavours while resonating with local tastes, informed by member feedback and contemporary dining habits. Each destination will have its own unique character and menu whether you are seeking a casual meal with family or a lively spot to watch a big game, you will find a new space that will suit your occasion.
Our Team Behind-the-Scenes
Our team continues to host behind-the-scenes tours providing an up-close appreciation of the redevelopment’s scale and to allow staff to familiarise themselves with the new layouts, features, and amenities. While our exciting upgrades are the most visible signs of progress at DOOLEYS, there is a tremendous amount of work happening behind-the-scenes to ensure everything runs seamlessly for future operational execution.
The implementation of new loading dock operations, to the procurement of new staff uniforms and menu development among many other system and operational enhancements are in planning by our dedicated team to launch in tandem with the new spaces.
